Cub Scout Rules

Car must be newly made this year.

Wheels and axles must be those included in kit.

Axles must be placed in the slots standard on the block.

Wheels and axles may be lightly sanded to remove flashing.

Dry graphite powder is the only lubricate allowed - no liquid lubricant.

Overall length is limited to 7”.

Overall width is limited to 2 ¾”.

Maximum weigh is 5 Ounces.

There should be at least 1 ¾” of space between inside of wheels.

Lowest point of car has to be at least 3/8” from track surface.

NO motors, springs, magnets, rubber bands.

The car may not interfere with other racers.

There should be at least 1 ¾” of space between inside of wheels.

There will be no lubing or adjusting of cars once race has begun.

In the case of finish line disputes, the finish line judges will decide the outcome. Or will issue a call for a re-race.

All decisions are final.

Outlaw Rules

Outlaw rules are the same with the exceptions that axles and wheels do not have to be those included in kit. Wheels and axles can have extensive work performed on them. Minor Variances to Size limitations as long as they do not interfere with other racers will be considered. It still has to be able to go down the track.
